Linoleum is made primarily from natural,
renewable resources, which distinguishes it
as a sustainable material with minimal environmental
footprint throughout its lifecycle.
Linoleum has a significantly lower
environmental impact compared to synthetic
flooring materials like for example vinyl.
The production of linoleum requires less
energy than synthetic alternatives, also it
is highly durable and can last for 20–40
years with proper care. This reduces the
need for frequent replacements, minimizing
waste and resource consumption over time.
So – please take extra care of me, I am going
to live for a very long time!
Did you know? The so-called Sustainable Development
Goal 12: `Responsible Consumption
and Production‘ could be seen as encouraging
the use of linoleum in construction,
supporting the shift to environmentally responsible
material choices!
